Dental Surgeons Benefit Trust
The thought began in 2017 after the success of IMA–NSSS and APPA. FBS launched in October 2021 under DSBT, registered as Document no. 63 of 2021 (identification 6-615-63-2021).
You do not pay an annual premium. Fraternity contribution is due only when a member dies or is fully disabled.
More than 2,000 enrolments already. The aim is 2,500 by December 2026.
Funds go to the nominee of a deceased member, or to the member in complete disability.
DSBT is registered under the Societies Act, Document no. 63 of 2021.
Fraternity contribution
01
IDA members of AP and Telangana, specialty life members, spouses, and other DSBT-recognised dentists join with ACD and a ₹300 registration fee.
02
On death or complete disability that permanently stops practice, the secretariat raises a demand note — by mail and SMS.
03
Every living member pays ₹1,000 for death or ₹600 for permanent disability, within 30 days of the demand letter.
04
ACD exists so the nominee can be paid within a week. Interest on ACD runs the office — never the contribution itself.
Suicide claims are not honoured for 365 days from enrolment. Members who join with declared serious illness have a 12-month window. Non-payment of FC, or wrong information, can discontinue membership.
Admission
ACD is collected so a nominee can be paid within a week. Only the interest is used for auditor fees, website, office, meetings, and the accidental death / disability policy premium.
