About IDA Andhra Pradesh
The Indian Dental Association is the independent professional voice of dentists in India. The Andhra Pradesh State Branch works from Vijayawada for members across coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema — on ethics, science, public oral health, and the standing of the profession.
What the state branch does
IDA AP convenes local branches, continuing education, community dental health, the annual conference, student programmes, and welfare such as Family Benefit Scheme under Dental Surgeons Benefit Trust.
- Support dentists through every stage of practice
- Run CDE and CDH programmes across the three zones
- Speak for the profession with government and the State Dental Council
- Keep oral health in the public conversation
Mission
Improve oral health by education, training, research, and advocacy — and keep members current so patients receive careful, contemporary care.
Code of ethics
Members are expected to meet a professional standard of conduct toward patients, colleagues, and the public. The code is a benchmark, not a slogan — it is how the association asks dentists to practise.
